As we approach the end of another year at South Oaks, I would like to thank all staff, parents, and volunteers for all your efforts to provide the best possible school experience for the kids. We love your kids and they are the reason South Oaks exists.

Looking ahead to next year, I thought it would be interesting to make a list of all the new and exciting things that are on the horizon for next year. I am sure I will miss some things, but here is a quick list;

  • New grade 5 classes (including 2 new teachers)
  • Returning to full time Music and PE classes
  • New Music teacher – Dawn Dreger
  • New Learning Support teachers – Melanie Ciavaglia and Felicia Torchia
  • First ever Vice-Principal for South Oaks – Helen Robidoux
  • New Apollo play structure for the students
  • Exploring a partnership with Appletree Books
  • Etc.

I am excited, because as I look at the plans for next year, I think we will have an excellent staff and some exciting new things for the students. I am predicting an excellent year in 2025-26 and look forward to rolling it all out with everyone.

Thanks again for all your support and encouragement as we try to make South Oaks the best place for your kids. We appreciate the community very much and it is a privilege to be part of the story in your child’s education.
