With snow still on the ground, it hardly feels like Spring. However, we do anticipate a Spring filled with opportunities to learn and celebrate learning at South Oaks School. So, what will Spring bring?

On April 23, we will have our annual Open House event, which is an opportunity for your child to host you in their classroom to share some learning highlights. See details for this event below.

On May 5, South Oaks will be presenting at the HSD Board Meeting at 7:30 pm. This will involve some students, led by Ms. Dreger, and they will share something musical with the board. More details to come.

On May 27 and 29, we will host the MPI “Bike Rodeo” once again. This is an opportunity for students in grades 1-5 to learn about bicycle safety in a practical way. The event includes an obstacle course that students can ride on (or walk on) to practice safety skills.

On May 28, we will host the grade 4 and 5 Spring Concert! This event will take place in our gym in the evening. Students are auditioning for parts now! Note; Ms. Dreger is also preparing the grade 3 students to perform for student audiences during the school day. More details to come.

Along with the many field trips that are planned, Spring will be a rich time of learning. No doubt, the next few months will move quickly, as we are also making plans for next year.

Enjoy the Spring with us!
